Role description
DAOstar, in collaboration with the Grant Innovation Lab at Metagov, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Grants Standard Lead to pioneer the adoption of DAOIP-5, our innovative grants metadata standard. This role is pivotal in implementing, executing, and expanding the usage of this standard across various Web3 grant programs, including prominent collaborations with Gitcoin and Optimism.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and operational execution of DAOIP-5, ensuring it meets the functional needs of grant programs and their ecosystems.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams at Gitcoin, Optimism, and other Web3 organizations to integrate the grants metadata standard effectively.
- Develop and execute initial use cases to demonstrate the value and functionality of DAOIP-5, gathering feedback to refine and enhance the standard.
- Drive widespread adoption of the standard through strategic outreach, education, and partnership development within the Web3 community.
- Prepare technical documentation, training materials, and presentations to communicate the benefits and technical aspects of DAOIP-5 to a diverse audience.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in JSON standards and familiarity with API architectures.
- In-depth knowledge of web3 technologies, including smart contracts, subgraphs, and attestations.
- Proven experience in project management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in developing and promoting technical standards or protocols, particularly within decentralized or open-source environments.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience working with decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) and familiarity with their governance and operational frameworks.
- Familiarity with web3 grant programs and grant related data
- Interest in collaborating with other organizations working towards more transparent and available grant data
